The right maintenance. At the right time.
MM.Ai began with a simple question: What if maintenance decisions were driven by what the equipment actually needs, and by what the operation demands?
Every day, drivers report problems. Technicians find issues. Fleet owners make decisions about repairs, costs and keeping equipment working. But too often, the information connecting those decisions is scattered across inspection reports, paperwork, phone calls and someone's memory.
A reported problem gets lost. A truck comes in for an oil change while other needed repairs go unplanned. A small issue becomes a road call that disrupts deliveries, schedules and revenue.
We saw an opportunity to connect that information and put it to work.
Built from the shop floor
MM.Ai was founded by a diesel mechanic, not a software company.
- Trained
- OSU Institute of Technology, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, 1982. Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- In the shop
- 20 years keeping garbage trucks running.
Our founder graduated from OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, in 1982 as a Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic, then spent 20 years keeping garbage trucks running. Over two decades in the shop, he watched the same story play out again and again: routes, loads, drivers and deadlines set the pace, and the maintenance department got the bill and the blame.
He also saw that the biggest fleets were solving this with custom software and whole IT departments. The small and mid-size operators, the ones with 10, 30 or 100 trucks, were left running on paper, phone calls and gut feel.
MM.Ai exists to change that.
What we're building
MaintenanceMgr.ai is being built to bring operations, maintenance and financial visibility together. It connects driver reports, service history, equipment usage, loads and maintenance requirements, so teams can see what needs attention, plan the work and understand the cost.
Operations drives demand. Demand drives maintenance. Maintenance drives the budget.
The people doing the work deserve a clear picture of what is needed, and why.
Fleets and shops as partners
We believe the fleet owner and the service shop should work as partners.
When a shop knows what an incoming truck needs, it can prepare its technicians, parts and schedule. When the fleet owner knows what to expect, repairs are easier to plan and approve. Both sides benefit from better communication and fewer surprises.
AI that supports people, not replaces them
Artificial intelligence supports that partnership by organizing information, flagging concerns and helping people make informed decisions. Experienced supervisors, service leads and technicians bring the judgment and skill to do the work.
Where we're going
We're starting with trucks, beginning with refuse and ready-mix concrete fleets. Over time, the same approach can serve other rolling stock and production equipment. Our purpose stays the same: help businesses keep equipment ready, understand its true operating cost, and make better decisions about when to repair, replace, add or park it.
- Repair
- Replace
- Add
- Park
Our goal is fewer preventable breakdowns, less unplanned downtime, and more confidence in every maintenance decision.
That is the story behind MM.Ai, and the future we are building.
